Vision & Mission
The society members jointly pledged to dedicate their services for the cause of empowering the underprivileged in our society. The members identified certain pockets of Dehradun where economically weaker section resided in large numbers. The survey revealed that the parents in such area worked as daily wagers with not adequate earnings to feed their children. The society wanted to make sure that every child of these families go to school and receives quality education.
An important part of our mission is to create citizen who will not only be outstanding in academics but will also have high moral values. (i.e. they will have love for humanity, compassion for weak and sense of selfless service for the community.)
At a seminar commemorating 300 years of the guruship to Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji in 2008 a girl said “ I ponder as to the massive kirtandarbars being held , stalls providing a variety of dishes , spending heavy amounts on nagarkirtan across the country etc .To me this is essential, but is this true homage to Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji? On searching for the answer in Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji itself the reply was no, anything done for selfish motives is not true homage .
