
Society has been supporting his education from primary school. His family consists of 2 sisters and two brothers one sister is working in an ophthalmology clinic, younger one has appeared for class 12th in 2024. Elder brother who is deaf and dumb is working in a hotel and a younger brother is pursuing graduation. His father has been working as a stone vendor often traveling to Rajasthan, Orissa and Bengal. Their earnings were inadequate to support the family.
Malkeet was an average student until class 10th. After his class 10th exams, he was rebuked for his casual attitude towards studies by GES office staff which transformed his approach towards academics. He performed well in class 12th and decided to make a career in Hospitality industry. After finishing his Diploma in Hotel Management he went to Bangalore for training. His hard work and dedication got him a job at Conrad, Bangalore. A fortnight after he had started with his job lockdown was announced and he bravely got through the tough times. Currently he is working with St. Reggis, J W Marriot, Goa earning a handsome salary. He is an inspiring many young students residing in his locality. He is taking care of his sister’s education.

Jyoti belongs to a family where girls are not allowed to move out. She was an average student without any vision for life. She was persuaded to appear for class 10th exam which she passed and didn’t come for further studies. After a gap she came to GES inspired by a girl from her colony who had completed post graduation with our support. There was a spark in her eyes and enthusiasm to do something in life. We counseled her for various options available. Of all the choices she opted for Diploma in Hotel Management. After completing her training with Jaypee Residency, Mussourie, she was offered a job there only. Currently she is working with Hotel Hyatt, Haridwar.

A girl, elder of two siblings from a poor family always dreamt of doing something in her life but finance was always a hurdle for her. Her father had a small electrical shop in a colony. She says “I always felt embarrassed when my name was announced for not paying school fees on time”. She belonged to a family where girls were not encouraged for education. After her 12th she visited GES for help and guidance. She was counseled to take up her dream career of engineering. Luckily she got selected for B.TECH from GB Pant University. She excelled and got selected for M.TECH from IIT Kanpur. Presently, she is working with North Trust, American Financial Institution with an annual package of 13.5 lacs. She is sponsoring studies of the other needy students.

Eldest of 3 siblings he had a tough childhood as his father who has been working as a stone vendor was unable to contribute towards family requirements due to petty earnings. He had to do menial jobs during his school days to fulfil some of his needs for education. His education was supported by GES from primary school. He performed well in class 12th exams. A career in Hospitality industry was a long cherished dream for him. After finishing with classes, he went to Bangalore for training. His hard work and dedication got him a job at Conrad, Bangalore which he is continuing till date. A fortnight after he had started with his job lockdown was announced and he braved through the storm with grit and determination. He has developed leadership skills and has been assigned duty to train other people of his department. He is expecting a promotion as Assistant Manager shortly. A great feat for a person who has just done a Diploma Course. This is the power of vocation based skill.

Jai Singh resident of Kanwali Road area, belongs to a family of 5, parents , one elder sister (married 2023), younger sister studying in class 8. His father is working in a canteen in a gym where earnings are not much. He passed class 12 in 2021 and came to GES office for guidance; he was given options for various diploma courses. He opted for a Diploma in Hotel Management from Universal Institute of Hotel Management. After finishing with classes he worked as an intern at a 5 star hotel in Goa for 6 months. Post internship he got a job at Hotel Maharaja Plaza, Ludhiana. In the year 2023 his sister got married. His mother got admitted to hospital for some sickness, he had to leave his job and come back to Dehradun .We contacted the institute from where he had done his course, they immediately arranged a job at Burger King, Dehradun where he is working till date .He is expecting a promotion shortly .

An outstanding student of Cambrian Hall School, Dehradun, who scored above 90% in her 10th & 12th Board exams always dreamed of becoming a Software Engineer. But her father's unsteady income and her elder brother's educational loan made her feel that she will have to sacrifice her dream. After her 12th when she got selected in a prestigious college in Uttarakhand she came to GES for help. Through the support of some donors of Gursikh Education Society her full course was sponsored.
In July 2016 she passed her final year and started working with "Viteos Market Capital City" as a trainee Programmer in Mumbai. Currently she is working with Customer Software Engineer Specialist, Accenture. May WAHEGURU ji be with her in her endeavor. Since her first salary she started donating a part of her Daswandh to Gursikh Education Society and has pledged that she will donate for this cause throughout her life so that more children like her become assets for the Panth.

Daughter of a street hawker selling petty goods. Her father was advised not to exert as he was suffering from kidney problem. Her school principal called on our president requesting him to take care of this girl as she was enthusiastic to do something in life. GES helped her to pursue BSc Nursing in 2012 from Eternal University, Baru Sahib. She says “My mother was in tears to see that I was getting a glass of milk everyday, which I could never afford at home. At present she in Australia, working as a registered Nurse, and also spreading the message of Kirat Karo, Naam Japo & Vand Chhako.

Son of a sewadar in Gurdwara Gobind Nagar, Race course Dehradun, Prabhjot wanted to pursue engineering. With the help of GES he did BTech in Mechanical from Uttranchal University, Dehradun, At present he is working with a shipping company and thus pursuing a career in Merchant Navy, Prabhjot's father who earns a salary of Rs. 8000/-never dreamt of such a future for his child. He is also donating towards the cause of the society.

Few years back when Kamalpreet came to Gursikh Education Society he had completed his 12th and was worried for his higher education, as his father used to work as a cook in a restaurant and earned Rs 8000/-. With support from Gursikh Education Society he completed his B.Tech from COER College Roorkee. After his studies he qualified the exam for officer grade in SBI and joined in FEB 2017.

Gurneet Singh Kohli an Engineering student from Graphic Era University came to Gursikh Education Society for support when his father, a small businessman was facing difficulty in paying his fees, due to some problem in his business. The child being very bright was concerned about his studies and his future as he was the only hope of his family. At GES he was given full support, and he completed his B.Tech. It was a proud moment for us when he came with the news that he got placed in SHELL as a Software Engineer. He joined SHELL in February 2017.

Gurpreet Singh 25 yrs is a Graduate in Interior Design from Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar. Today he has grown into a confident young man. But this was not the case when he came to GES some years back, in 2012, He was in the 3rd year of his course for which he had already taken a bank loan of 1.5 lacs which at that time stood a little over 2 lacs. Gurpreet’s father runs a small tailoring shop and his mother is a housewife. He has a younger brother and a younger sister who is mentally challenged. He was in great stress and depression as his father was not able to repay the loan and it kept on mounting.
It was very difficult for them to make both ends meet. He came to Gursikh Education Society with lots of hope. In a few years he passed his course with flying colours.
In February 2017 he was hired by Lovely Professional University as a faculty. Though he faced a lot of hardships but with little support from GES he has emerged as a confident young man. He contributes a part of his salary regularly to Gursikh Education Society to help students like him.

An intelligent boy younger, of 2 siblings who lost his father at a young age was brought up by a single mother. As their mother couldn't afford the school fees of both her children, GES assured her that her son's education would be taken care of. Bakshish cleared his CA exam in the first attempt with merit, At present he is working with HDFC LTD. He started giving his dasvandh (donation) from the day he received his first salary and is continuing till date.
